About the role:
Our ideal Veterinary Technician will demonstrate an exemplary standard of medicine with patients in a compassionate and caring manner. The RVT will be largely responsible for assisting the DVM as well as prep for surgeries including intubation and monitoring as well as combine clinical expertise, and promote excellence in veterinary medicine.

Requirements
Education, Experience & Skills Required:
● 1 to 3 years of experience in the veterinary industry.
● Active status with OAVT
● A passion to deliver high quality customer service.
● Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
● Ability to pick up 50lbs.
● Proficiency in English & Polish, spoken and written.

What is it like to work as a Veterinary Technician at Weston Veterinary Clinic?
● Assist the veterinarian in exam rooms and use veterinary software for documenting medical notes
● Perform catheter placement
● Obtain laboratory sample collection, process and possibly interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears)
● Perform diagnostic imaging
● Monitor for surgeries
● Prep patients for and assist in surgery (including intubation)
● Perform dental cleanings
● Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable)
● Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients
● Communicate with and educate clients
● Provide compassionate patient care
